My DESIGNER SUNGLASSES Collection

A good pair of sunglasses goes a long way. I don’t think you need many, so here are the few pieces I’ve invested in over the years that I wear every day for different looks.

+ Flirty and Classic
MICHAEL KORS MK6040 BLACK/WHITE ABELA III 55X19MM
These were my first pair of designer sunglasses! MP picked them and bought them for me and I’ve obviously worn them to death because the lenses have started to peel. I might repurchase them because I’m so attached LOL and I love the Audrey Hepburn look that the flirty cat-eye shape, classic black + white, and luxurious lens gradient give off. I think they’re a very unique pair of sunglasses that you don’t see very much around.

+ Everyday, Timeless Staple
RAY-BAN RB3447 GOLD GREEN ROUND METAL 53X21MM
This is the very first item (and one of the only few I can think of) that I was “influenced” to buy years ago after I saw an Instagrammer wearing them. Everyone and their mom has these lennon aviators now but for good reason. They’re a universal piece that goes with everything and will never go out of style. And the contrast between the dark lenses and gold metal flames are killer.

+ Warm and Neutral Hues
MICHAEL KORS MK2143 DARK TORTOISE TAMPA 55X17MM
These brown tortoise cat-eyes bring a warm hue that brightens the face and are a nice change for when I’m not feeling like wearing black sunglasses. They’re my latest addition and are also from Michael Kors because I think they make the most comfortable sunglasses. They feel great, are super lightweight, and they don’t squeeze my big head or leave indents on my nose bridge (as much lol, you can’t avoid the nose marks).

+ Bold and Bougie
TOM FORD TF573 BLACK LARA-02 53X22MM
I saw these in Philadelphia at a Bloomingdale’s but they were kind of expensive so MP convinced me to hold off on buyin them, but I couldn’t stop thinking about them even after I left Philadelphia so I got ’em! They’re a statement piece and elevate any outfit. I also refer to them as my paparazzi shades because they’re great to hide behind when you’ve not any makeup on lol.

+ Geometric Glam
RAY-BAN RB3548N GOLD GREEN HEXAGONAL FLAT 51X21MM
These are a twist on the classic aviator shape that bring interest to the face – it’s like you think they’re just basic aviators until you look closer and notice the flattering wide hexagonal shape and the edgy sharp geometric lines and angles! It’s all about those subtle details. I can’t choose one over the other between the lennons or these hexagonals, I’d say you need both so I got these as a gift for MP a few years ago and I always borrow them from him! 🙂

I do feel my collection is complete and has everything I need, buuuut if I were to add a pair…well, I have been eyeing the black on black Ray-Bans so maybe that will be my next investment! Also the skinny sunglasses trend is a haaaaaaard no for me, personally, LOL but you do you ok thanks for reading!!

Xo,
Em
