We went into the car, and immediately, I fell asleep. I was even snoring.

Michael said it was the most comfortable I’ve seemed in a long, long time.

I was finally able to rest, so peacefully in my little donut bed that I always go in when I’m in Jeje’s car. I love going for car rides with Jeje.

When we turned the corner for home, Jeje rolled down the windows for me once more. Though I couldn’t surf the window today, I loved the feeling of the cool breeze.

& then, we were back home. Papa and Mama were waiting for me. Halina too.

Jeje picked out a handsome shirt for me to wear. It was brand new with the tag still on, and it even matched my blue and red heart wraps perfectly. Papa helped to put it on me. Everyone said I looked so, so handsome.

And then we went for a walk. I love going on walks. I go on a walk everyday with my Papa. Today, everyone joined me and I was so happy to show everybody my favorite spots.

We went to my favorite spot to smell.

Then to my favorite spot to mark my territory.

Then to my favorite spot to leave presents.

And then to my favorite spot of all: Kitty’s house.

Kitty usually only gives me one or two treats, but today was special because she gave me extra. Though I didn’t feel like eating them today, I will save them and eat them later.

Then, we went back home.

And finally, it was so nice to be back in my bed. Back in my bed, where I sleep every night with my Papa. Back in my bed, where Mama makes my blankets the way I like them. Back in my bed, where I get so happy every morning when Jeje comes to wake me up.

We laid there for hours.

I was so happy to be home. With my Papa, my Mama, my Jeje, and Michael too.

Though I was tired, I kept my eyes open the entire time so I could look at my Papa. Though I was tired, I stayed awake so I could hear my Mama’s voice talking to me. Though I was tired, I still loved getting pets from Jeje.

And then we went to my most favorite place of all: the backyard. I always ask Jeje 100 times a day to go outside to the backyard — I love the warm sun, the fresh air, and exploring all over. Today, Papa even mowed the grass for me so the grass was nice and short — I don’t like when the grass gets too long.

There were blankets laid out. And my dog bed too.

We took a ton of family pictures together. As always, I was the star. And today, I was extra cute and handsome in all of my pictures.

And then they laid me down in my bed. They wrapped me up in a blanket. They laid flowers from our garden all over me.

Michael said a prayer.

Papa said I was the best boy ever.

Mama said she loves me so much.

And Jeje said thank you for everything.

They gave me a ton and a ton and a ton of hugs and kisses.

I rested there. In my dog bed. Wrapped up in a blanket. With flowers all over me. In my favorite place ever, our backyard. Staring at my Papa, Mama, and Jeje.

As my eyes began to close, a soft and gentle drizzle of rain started falling. Papa, Mama, and Jeje were crying a lot today. I’m not sure why, and now the skies were crying too.

And just like every night, I slowly fell asleep. Just like any other day when I find the best warm spot to sunbathe and rest. Just like any other weekend morning when I nap in Papa’s lap. Just like any other car ride when I snooze in my cozy donut. Just like any other night when I crawl into the bed and the blankets to go to sleep when the day’s over.

I’m just going to sleep. And I’ll see everybody later. Until then, I’ll be dreaming of all the meals, all the treats, all the pets, all the walks, all the playing, all the cuddles, all the naps, all the car rides, all the running, all the barking, all the beach trails, all the roadtrips, all the hotel rooms, all the adventures, all the human food, all the tail wags, and all of the love and memories from the past 16 years.

TaiTai loves Papa, Mama, and Jeje very much.

What a nice day it was today. Together with my family. I can’t wait until tomorrow for more,
