Surprise! I got married! 💍💐👰🏻♀️🤵🏻
Ah, it seems it is finally time that I must hang up my well-worn playah’s hat. Single Emily is a momentous piece of history that will be missed by all </3, but alas, even this hard-to-catch bachelorette got caught. R.I.P. to broken hearts everywhere.
(I’m obviously kidding lol)
But yes, it’s true! I got married! Totally last minute and unplanned. Even more surprisingly, I had a WEDDING (whuuuut haha, totally not expected). Well, wedding-ish. I prefer to call it an ~elopement adventure~ rather than a wedding (-sprinkles sparkles-), but for SEO purposes we are calling this a wedding series lol.
Anyways, for all those interested, I promise I’ll get into all of it but I wanted to make this quick post to announce this wedding series I’ll be starting on the blog so apologies in advance for the wedding spam! I know, I know. Really Emily? I personally have zeroooooo interest in wedding stuff and I always skip wedding / wedding-adjacent content, so I don’t blame you if you do too.
However, when I was planning this wedding, I did go back and quickly reference a couple of bloggers’ wedding posts. It helped a lot in terms of:
- a lot of relatability in feelings, like knowing that weddings are difficult for all lol and that everyone has had to deal with…various annoyances that are just naturally part of a wedding haha
- feeling better, like “oh, even she DIY’d aspects” so I know it’s not janky if I DIY mine too
- recognizing financials, we’re all going broke over these weddings…
Surprisingly, a lot of bloggers I follow actually did NOT really have a wedding, which knowing that also helped to take a lot of the pressure off. & oddly enough, a lot of the bloggers I like have little to nothing to show for their wedding on social media (which you’d think would be the opposite)…I’m assuming they want to keep that part of their life private. TBH that probably would’ve been me too so I’m glad this series will kind of force me to document & share the memories!
All this to say, I hope you enjoy this series!! And to any bride-to-be’s, congratulations & I hope these posts help!!

Xo,
Mrs. Emily
P.S. There’s a lot of stuff to talk about so I won’t be posting on just Sundays! I plan on posting multiple times a week so come back sooner midweek if you want to read!
P.S.S. Just noticed the bow I put on the black thing of the golf cart came off! I think I snapped a photo elsewhere before it came off but awh mannnn!!!
