For the holidays, Michael’s family so generously let me accompany them on their Christmas trip to South America! Michael is proudly 100% Colombian, and most of his family still resides in the motherland’s capital city, Bogotá.

Needless to say, travelling is always an enlightening and inspiring experience – especially with a loved one and ever more so in a country so different than anywhere I’ve been.

I’d love to share some photodiaries of Colombia – a beautifully historic country – with all of you over the next few weeks. Cheers!

P.S. I brought the WRONG camera charger to Colombia!! The photos are not as plenty as they might have been, but it is good we were fully present with our family (and avoided damaging our equipment from all the (gorgeous) sandy beaches!)
