Hello loves!
Happy February!!! To me, a Valentine’s Day gift should be lighthearted and affordable (no need to get too serious here, guys) and cute, flirty, and/or a little sexy!
Here are some of my suggestions for Valentine’s Day gifts for your girlfriend, your mom, your gal pals, or even yourself! And shoutout to all the guys’ whose girl’s birthday is also in February – Michael shares your struggle 🙂
Somethin’ Sexy
+ Something for her, but really for him, a Chemise Lingerie Night Slip ($17.98) or Lace Bralette and Satin Shorts ($13.99). Such a great inexpensive gift and the girl will feel so special!
+ Spice up a night-in with some intimate questions and flirty dares with this 3-Set Date Night Game Box ($21.50) – a fun way to get to know each other
+ If you didn’t know, now ya know. Amazon delivers Chocolate Covered Strawberries ($25.72) if you don’t have the time to make them yourself!
Skincare + Beauty
+ I love Shu Uemura cleansing oil and have already bought two. I’ve bought the green version, but the Shu Uemura Porefinist Sakura Refreshing Cleansing Oil ($55.99) comes in the most beautiful sakura pink packaging and targets pores! Here is a Set of 3 Travel Size Bottles ($37.50) to give to your girlfriends!
+ I LOVE DryBar hair instruments. This is a bit of a splurge, but she will use it every day. The reverse taper of the DryBar Wrap Wand ($165) makes your curls look effortless and beachy
+ Mamonde is such a great brand. For v-day, what better than this Mamonde Rose Water Toner ($12.91)!! Maybe this Mamonde Flower Toner Variety Pack ($12.99) that lets you try their other floral toners! This would also be great to split and gift to girlfriends. For extra credit, get these Mamonde Hibiscus Flower Sheet Masks ($12.48) – I use these at night after a long day of work!
+ Everyone is raving on the beauty benefits (skin & hair) of silk pillowcases. I think this is a great gift for your mom or your sister too: 600 Thread-Count, 100% Mulberry Silk Pillowcase ($26.99)
Fun & PINK!
+ Workout leggings are never a bad gift and these High-Waisted Pink Alo Yoga Leggings ($53.10) are so feminine and such a fun color. This High Shine Leggings by Reflex (only $25!) in champagne is a gorgeous muted nude pink with shimmer
+ We used to sell these in the studio and its packaging is GORGEOUS and I love anything grapefruit-scented. This is the Capri Blue Gilded Muse Candle in Grapefruit and Prosecco ($35.75) – the same brand that makes the famous Anthropologie volcano candles
+ For the girl who loves to read (or even those who don’t read, i.e. ME lol), Kate Hudson’s Pretty Fun Book ($12.69) is all about how to be the hostess with the mostess and comes with recipes, decorating tips, and just every day advice on how to always CELEBRATE life. I bought this book myself and its soooo good! Even alone, it makes for a pretty coffee table book you can style
+ Cute mugs are an easy casual gift for people like your coworkers. I normally run to places like Home Goods or Marshalls for mugs, but I’ve linked some cute ones here! This Sakura Glass Mug with Deer ($12.99) reminds me of the deer I saw and fed in Nara Park, Osaka. This Handmade Glass Daisy Tea Glass ($22.99) is so uniquely crafted. Or, opt for this “Cute, But Psycho, But Cute” Mug ($15.95)
For the Romantics
+ Michael got me a Ghibli music box as a gift in Japan (from the cutest old-school Japanese toy store in Kyoto). It is such a unique, sentimental gift – especially if you pick their favorite song. Ghibli is perfect because their compositions are so lovely. Definitely check out this Wind-Up Musical Box Ft. Always With Me from Spirited Away ($15.39). Or, for a more traditional version, this Delicate Wooden Ghibli Music Box ($17.99) one even has space for you to keep something special
+ Valentine’s Day is the perfect day for rose gold jewelry. This Kate Spade Rose Gold Bangle ($86.69) has “Smell The Roses” engraved on the inside. I like to wear bracelets in sets, so pair it with this Rose Gold Bracelet with Cubic Zirconia Stones ($13.59) elegant addition
+ These Mulberry Silk Scarves ($14.99) come in beautiful prints and will always be with you – whether you put it around your neck, knot it in your hair, or tie it on your purse
Happy Valentine’s Day!!
Till next Sunday,
Xo
